I love observing my surroundings and people, and reflecting about the deepest meanings in our lives as human beings. And over the years, I have noticed how there's a huge lack of meaning in too many people's lives. Being brutally honest, I think it's something really sad and painful to me. Each time that I see a life somehow "wasted" because so many dreams and potential to make something important in this world have never taken place, and buried in the past forever.
This is the reason why I decided back in 2018, to take a special discovery journey in everything about life's purpose. Back then, I had no idea where to search for, but after so many years I have been able to discover many ways to find meaning and purpose in what we do.
For many years, I felt like I wasn't really passionate about anything. I felt like I liked many things but nothing like a real passion. Also, I wasn't able to know what I was really good at — something that I really excelled at. I used to compare myself with someone really good at drawing and art for example. For that person it was easy and clear to know they were good at drawing.
I also had the 9-5 schedule pain, where I felt miserable inside corporations and someone else's company, where I had to do what they wanted me to do, on the schedules that they wanted me to be, and I felt like being in prison. I dreamed for many years about having my own business, my own schedule and doing something that would really help me develop my full potential.
Over time I found a real passion, which was the personal growth, and started a new business offering services as coach and therapist. For some time, I had an internal conflict between part of me willing to help people in their personal growth even for free (because I love so much helping that I didn't care about money). And the other part of me that wanted to just do and have a business and only care about money and wealth. So, for some years, I didn't know how to consolidate and unite both at the same time.
One of my main issues was that I was too focused on helping people and I was extremely passionate about it. And I was lacking the part of making it more business focused. Then, I created an e-commerce business that this time was purely business, and over time I realized that it wasn't very well aligned with my field of interests and my main intention was only built around making money. Nothing else.
After having those two experiences, I came across a book that was talking about how in this modern AI world, we needed to be bold (audacious) in order to stand out. So I started analyzing myself and looking at which elements I really loved. I arrived at the conclusion that I was all about personal development, business, and I also loved video games, science fiction and anime. And when looking at how to blend everything together, LifeBusiness Builders was born.
A combination of Life (personal growth and purpose) and Business (creating your own financial path towards wealth). So, a combination of personal growth with business. And all this inside a community of builders, which are the people that really desire to accomplish something meaningful in their lives, something greater than themselves.
I'm a firm believer that these two elements have to coexist together in order to succeed in a way that you can feel good about yourself and have true meaning and fulfillment with what you do.
Something important here is that this isn't for everyone, simply because many people don't want to achieve all this at all. So, I came to the conclusion that this is only for those who want the bigger price and that are willing to pay the high price of sacrificing themselves and their present moment by many means, so they can build a better future.
The reality is that most people only think about the present moment and just want to enjoy NOW, without caring what's next. We builders are different. We actually want to build something HUGE or IMPORTANT, so we sacrifice many things in the present, so that in the future, we will be able to enjoy the beautiful creation that we built over the years.
Right now, it has been around a year and a half since I first began with this LifeBusiness Builders project, and many things have taken place already. We have a growing community of more than 600 builders, a virtual internal economy, gamification elements, and products in progress that I will be sharing more about very soon.
And honestly, even if it has been more challenging than I initially expected, I'm more passionate and committed to this than ever. There's an extremely huge potential here and a lot more is coming. I will continue sharing what's being built behind the scenes as things progress.
