Diplotopia

A combination of Polytopia, Civilization, Warzone, and real life. The name is a portmanteau of Diplomacy and Polytopia.

Diplotopia is a ruleset that has been played and tested with Polytopia since April of 2018. We discovered many things by testing and playing the game and creating this server. Players role-play as a specific tribe in which flags, backstory, government types, etc. are created for. If this sounds fun to you, that's because it really is! Before you dive in, please read the list below of what we expect from you.

• Diplotopia is ONLY fun when you role-play and interact with other players. You are expected to do more than play Polytopia around our rules.

• A game can take a LONG time. We found that a relatively short game lasts about a month while long games can take up to 4 months.

• This Discord server is American-based, so to understand political terms language and effectively role-play, proficiency in English is a de-facto requirement. However, we encourage those who are not proficient at English to try it anyway.(You can use "?define" to look up a word)

• There is no single correct way to play Diplotopia. The game rules have been tested and optimized many times. We think that the current set of rules in #game-rules may suit this server the best. Some rules have become more complex while others have been removed completely. These rules may change in the future should the need arise.
