The Pan Pacific Defence Corps (PPDC) and their Jaegers fought back to defend against the Kaiju. However has more and more appeared they were forced back until the evacuation of the continent was initiated.

The people of Australia were given 5 days to reach the cities Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney and Perth. Those that did not make it were left to fend for themselves.
