I built this bot because jumping between Discord and a browser to check scores, episode counts, or where something is streaming gets old fast. Type /search, pick from the live autocomplete dropdown, and get a full card right in chat — cover art, score, genres, synopsis, streaming platforms, and buttons for the MAL page and trailer.

Want to show off what you're watching? /share lets you share your public anime profile in seconds. /watching pulls up to 10 of a user's currently active watchlist with an interactive dropdown selection that lets anyone search the details instantly. Looking for community creations? /dub list and /dub channel highlight abridged and fan-dubbed parody channels. Keep up with seasonal releases with /releases, which shows what's airing today or any day of the week, automatically formatted to your local timezone.

To keep searches lightning-fast and completely bypass Jikan/MAL API rate limits during peak usage, the bot uses a Smart Hybrid Cache connected directly to the website's database. When you autocomplete or search, it looks up the local catalog first. If the anime isn't cached yet, it fetches the details from Jikan and automatically hydrates (populates) the website's master database index so it becomes instantly viewable on the web!

Feeling indecisive? /random pulls something from the entire MyAnimeList catalog. Could be a masterpiece, could be something completely unhinged. That's half the fun.
