DodgeRoll is a Discord game bot built around that one person who always vanishes when it is time to play. Call out their dodges, roll dice against random encounters, spend points on re-rolls you probably cannot afford, and climb 20 internal ranks toward the only title that matters.

🎯 The Core Loop

Someone dodges game night. You call it out with /dodge callout. They get a point on the board. The server sees it. The leaderboard updates.

Random encounters spawn in your chosen channel. Anyone can press the Dodge button and roll a d20. Beat the difficulty and the encounter clears. Fail and decide whether a re-roll is worth burning your points — and possibly your rank.

Every server runs its own game. Stats, ranks, and encounters are completely separate between servers.

🎲 How Encounters Work

An encounter card appears in your channel. It shows the threat, the difficulty, the reward, and how many attempts remain.

Anyone can press Dodge and roll.

• Roll a 1 and it is an automatic fail.
• Roll a 20 and it clears instantly, no questions asked.
• Anything else has to beat the encounter's difficulty number.

The first person to succeed clears the encounter for the whole server. The Roll Log tracks every attempt, every re-roll, and every rank drop.

Encounters come in five tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, Legendary, and Mythic. The harder the tier, the more attempts allowed and the higher the reward.

🔁 Re-Rolls

Failed your dodge? If re-rolls are enabled, you can spend points for another shot.

The cost doubles each time you re-roll on the same encounter. Five points the first time. Ten the second. Twenty the third. The server can watch you spend your way down the leaderboard in real time.

Spending points can lower your rank. The Roll Log shows when it happens. Everyone sees it.

🏆 20 Internal Ranks

DodgeRoll tracks 20 ranks internally. No Discord roles are assigned or changed. The ranks live inside the bot and climb based on your total score.

The top rank is Master Dodger. Getting there requires either consistent performance or a spectacular amount of luck on a Mythic encounter.

📊 Stats and Leaderboards

/dodge stats opens a private panel showing your profile, your rank, the server leaderboard, and all 20 ranks listed out.

The leaderboard tracks the top 50 users per server with clean pagination.

🎭 Two Prompt Modes

Encounters pull from two built-in prompt packs — Fantasy and Gaming — each with 200 encounters across all difficulty tiers.

Fantasy encounters include dragons, krakens, liches, collapsing dungeons, and stone titans. Gaming encounters include clutch moments, boss mechanics, server lag, ready checks, and the final five-stack that ruins your night.

Moderators switch between modes in /dodge settings.

⚙️ Moderator Controls

Everything is configured through /dodge settings. No config files, no environment variables to touch.

Settings include encounter channel, prompt mode, event spawn rate, difficulty distribution, callout toggle, re-roll toggle, re-roll base cost, and callout target cooldown.

Moderators can also manually spawn encounters at any tier for testing:
