A turn-based number guessing 4v4/5v5 football game with player cards, trading, and more!
Welcome to FOOTYVERSE, a tactical, turn-based 4v4/5v5 football game where YOU control the action. Your goal? Pick the right numbers, outsmart your opponent, and lead your team to glory all while representing your favourite player!
There are 4 positions each team: Striker, Midfielder, Defender, and Goalkeeper! NEW: In 5v5 games, there is now an extra midfielder!
CORE GAMEPLAY: Every action (dribble, pass, tackle, shot, freekick, corner, pen, etc) comes down to a number duel.
ATTACKER's goal: Pick a different number than the defender DEFENDER's goal: Pick the same number as the attacker
Both players choose a number. The result depends on the difference between choices and what event (as you will see below).
Both parties select a number from 1 to 3.
A difference of 0 results in the defender winning the ball with a clean tackle.
A difference of 1 results in the attacker beating the defender and progressing forward.
A difference of 2 or more results in the attacker drawing a yellow card from the defender. If the defender already has a yellow card, a free kick is awarded to the attacker's team.
The passer and interceptor select numbers from 1 to 5.
A difference of 0 results in an interception.
A difference of 1 results in the ball going out for a throw-in.
A difference of 2 or 3 results in a through ball that leads to a shooting chance.
A difference of 4 results in a pass backwards to the defender.
The shooter and goalkeeper select numbers from 1 to 6.
If the shooter selects 0, a side pass is played to another player.
A difference of 0 results in a save.
A difference of 1 results in the goalkeeper tipping the ball into a corner.
A difference of 2 results in a foul by the goalkeeper, leading to a free kick.
A difference of 3 results in a goal.
A difference of 4 results in a penalty.
A difference of 5 or more results in an offside call. Play stops and possession flips.
The taker selects a number from 1 to 6. Afterwards, each defender (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder) selects a number from 1 to 6.
If the taker's number is not matched by any defender, a header chance occurs between the centre-back and the goalkeeper using numbers 1-2. Different numbers result in a goal. The same number results in a save.
If the taker's number is matched by any defender, the defense clears the corner and possession flips.
The taker selects a number from 1 to 5. Afterwards, the wall defenders (midfielder and defender) select numbers from 1 to 5.
If the taker's number is not in the wall, the ball clears the wall and a duel occurs vs. the goalkeeper using numbers 1-3. Different numbers result in a goal. The same number results in a save.
If the taker's number is matched by the wall, the free kick is blocked and possession flips.
The captain may choose any player as the taker. The taker and goalkeeper select numbers from 1 to 3.
Different numbers result in a penalty scored.
The same number results in a penalty saved.
The goalkeeper and the opposing midfielder select numbers from 1 to 5.
A difference of 0 results in possession flipping back to the attacking team.
A difference of 1 results in the goalkeeper playing short to a midfielder.
A difference of 2 results in the goalkeeper finding a striker with a long ball.
A difference of 3 results in the goalkeeper passing back to the defense.
A difference of 4 results in an own goal.
The attacker and defender select numbers from 1 to 3.
The same number results in the defender intercepting the throw and possession flipping.
Different numbers result in the attacker completing the pass and setting up a shooting chance.
The receiver and goalkeeper select numbers from 1 to 4.
A difference of 0 results in a save.
A difference of 1 results in the goalkeeper tipping the ball wide for a corner.
A difference of 2 or more results in a goal.
Two defending players (usually a defender and a midfielder) and the attacker selects one number from 1 to 5. Each defender selects a number from 1 to 5.
If the attacker's number matches any defender's number, the defenders win the ball with a clean tackle.
If the attacker's number does not match any defender's number, the attacker beats both defenders and progresses forward.
2 midfielders and 1 striker from the attacking team get chosen to perform a quick passing sequence. The first midfielder duels against a defender using numbers 1-4. A difference of 0 results in interception. A difference of 1 or more results in the pass being completed. The second midfielder then duels against another defender using numbers 1-4. A difference of 0 results in interception. A difference of 1 or more results in a through ball to the striker for a shooting chance. The striker then shoots against the goalkeeper using numbers 1-4.
Two defending midfielders press the attacker. The attacker selects one number from 1 to 4. Each pressing midfielder selects a number from 1 to 4. If the attacker's number matches either midfielder's number, the defense wins the ball and possession flips.
If the attacker's number does not match either midfielder's number, the attacker keeps possession and progresses forward.
Two attacking midfielders execute an overlap run against a defender. The runner draws the defender away using numbers 1-4 (difference of 0 results in the defender winning, difference of 1 or more results in the runner beating the defender). The runner then passes to the second midfielder who gets a one-on-one shooting chance against the goalkeeper using numbers 1-4.
