AbyssalRealm — Mine, Fish, Farm, and Build Your Fortune

Welcome to AbyssalRealm, a fantasy RPG inside Discord where you can explore mines, reel in fish, grow crops, collect rare trinkets, and build your fortune.

Earn Tanzin, improve your skills, upgrade your equipment, expand your farm, and work toward a better home. Whether you enjoy exploring deeper underground or checking on your crops between conversations, there is always another goal to work toward.

Most gameplay uses buttons and dropdown menus. Open your adventure with /realm, choose an activity, and follow the options on your screen.

How to Start Playing

1. Use /realm in a channel where the bot is allowed.
2. Select Begin Journey and follow the introduction to meet the town’s residents.
3. Enter Abyssal Town, your main hub for activities, shops, and player information.
4. Choose Mine, Fish, or Farm to start gathering resources and earning skill XP.
5. Sell your resources for Tanzin, or keep useful materials for upgrades.
6. Reinvest your earnings in equipment, farming plots, plot capacity, and your home.

Use /realm whenever you want to reopen your adventure. After completing the introduction, it takes you back to town.

Player Commands

/inventory	View your inventory and stored items.
/profile	Check your character’s progress and skill information.
/leaderboard	View the leading explorers.
/rates mining level:<number>	Check base mining chances for a selected Mining Level.
/rates fishing zone:<zone>	View fishing chances and trinket information for a selected zone.
/rates trinkets	View published trinket rarity odds and where they can be found.
/supporter	Check your permanent Supporter XP perk status.

Mining, fishing, auctions, the Treasury, and your home are accessed through the town’s buttons. Start with /realm to reach them.

Mining — Explore the Depths with Brokk

Visit Brokk through the Mine button in town.

Begin a mining run and use the mining controls to gather resources. As you progress, you can explore unlocked floors, overcome barriers, and work toward stronger pickaxes.

Mining gives you materials to sell or save, skill XP, and chances to discover valuable finds.

How to play:

• Open /realm and select Mine.
• Choose an available floor and select Begin Mining.
• Follow the exploration and mining buttons on your screen.
• When you leave the mine, use the settlement options to sell resources or send them to storage.
• Keep materials needed for crafting and use Craft Next Pickaxe when you meet its requirements.

Better equipment and continued progress give you new goals underground. Use Mining Info or /rates mining when you want to understand the system more closely.

Fishing — Cast Your Line with Finn

Visit Finn through the Fish button.

Choose a fishing zone, cast your rod, and build your Fishing Level. Different zones have their own catches and requirements, giving you reasons to improve your rod and explore beyond your starting waters.

How to play:

• Open /realm and select Fish.
• Choose a zone available to your Fishing Level and equipment.
• Select Cast Rod to fish.
• Use Sell Catch to earn Tanzin or Store Catch to keep your fish.
• Select Upgrade Rod when you have what you need for the next upgrade.

Use /rates fishing to check a zone’s fishing chances and trinket information.

Farming — Grow Your Business with Mara

Your farm starts with three plots, each holding one plant.

Visit Mara to purchase seeds, sell harvested crops, and upgrade individual plots. Farming combines real-time growth with long-term progression: plant a crop, let it grow, harvest it for resources and XP, then decide what to grow next.

Available crops include:

• Wheat
• Carrot
• Potato
• Moonberry
• Emberpumpkin
• Abyssbloom

Higher-level crops unlock as your Farming Level increases.

How to play:

1. Use /farm, or choose Farm from town.
2. Open Seed Shop and buy seeds for a crop you have unlocked.
3. Return to your farm and select that crop from the dropdown.
4. Choose Plant Plot to plant in one empty plot, or Plant All Empty to plant across your available empty plots.
5. Select Water to shorten the growth time.
6. Check the displayed timers and select Refresh when you return.
7. Use Harvest once your crops are ready.
8. Select Sell Crops to visit Mara’s Crop Market.

Mara buys your harvested crops. You can sell one crop, the selected crop stack, or all supported harvested crops at once.

Ready crops stay available until you harvest them, so you can return when it suits you.

Expand Your Farm

You can purchase additional plots as you earn Tanzin and reach the required Farming Levels.

The farm can grow from 3 plots to 12 plots. New plots require both money and progression, so expanding your farm is something to earn over time.

Select Expand Farm to see the next plot’s price and level requirement.

Upgrade Individual Plots

Want more plants without buying another plot? Open:

Seed Shop → Plot Upgrades

Select a plot and upgrade its capacity through:

1 → 2 → 3 → 4 plants

Each plot is upgraded separately. Upgrades require Tanzin, the appropriate Farming Level, and an empty plot.

With all 12 plots upgraded, your farm can hold up to 48 plants at once. Planting uses the seeds you own, so stock up before filling larger plots.

If you lack enough storage space to harvest a crop batch, it stays in the field until you make room.

Tanzin — Earn, Save, and Spend

Tanzin is AbyssalRealm’s virtual currency, displayed in Copper, Silver, and Gold.

Earn it by selling resources and crops, then spend it on your next goal:

• Better equipment
• Seeds
• Additional farming plots
• Plot capacity upgrades
• Home upgrades
• Player-listed trinkets

Tanzin is an in-game currency with no real-world cash value.

Auctions — Trade Rare Trinkets

Visit Abigail’s Auction House through the Auction button in town.

The auction house lets players list supported rare trinkets at a fixed price and purchase listings from other players.

How to play:

• Open the Auction House.
• Browse available listings using the dropdown and page controls.
• Choose List Trinket to offer a supported trinket from your inventory.
• Enter its trinket ID and a price in Copper Tanzin.
• Select another player’s listing to purchase it, or your own listing to cancel it.

Successful sales pay 90% to the seller, with 10% collected by the Treasury.

The auction house currently supports trinkets; harvested crops are sold through Mara’s Crop Market.

Treasury, Home, and Storage

Visit the Treasury to check its information and claim your Daily Reward when available.

Open Home to view your residence, access storage, and work toward the next home upgrade.

Keeping resources can help with future upgrades, but storage space matters. Selling items you no longer need and improving your home helps you manage your growing collection.

Track Your Progress

Use /profile to check your progress and /inventory to review your items.

Use /leaderboard to see how you compare with other explorers.

Your player progress is tied to your Discord account, so you can continue with the same character across servers using AbyssalRealm.

For Server Owners

Server managers can choose which channels allow AbyssalRealm gameplay.

Command	What It Does
/channels add channel:<channel>	Add a channel to the allowed gameplay channels.
/channels remove channel:<channel>	Remove a channel from the allowed list.
/channels list	Show the current allowed channels.
/channels clear	Clear restrictions and allow gameplay in every accessible channel again.

These settings require Manage Server permission.

To create a dedicated game area, make a channel such as #abyssalrealm and add it using /channels add. Add more channels if you want players to have multiple places to play.

An empty allowed-channel list means gameplay is unrestricted by this setting. Developer administration commands are separate from these server settings.

Development and AI Transparency

AbyssalRealm is created and directed by Amber at BotchedBots.

The project started with my ideas for a Discord world where players could mine, fish, farm, earn currency, and build their progress. AI has helped me bring those ideas to life through coding assistance, troubleshooting, suggestions, and artwork.

I decide what belongs in the bot, shape its direction, and test and maintain it. AI assistance is part of the development process, and I want to be open about that.

I understand that some people prefer projects made without AI assistance. You deserve to know how this one is being built so you can make that choice for yourself.
