Crimstone is a free Discord bot with moderation, leveling and XP, utility tools, and fun commands. Add it to your server in one click.

Crimstone

Invite it, start typing. That's the setup.

Crimstone handles moderation, automod, leveling, tickets, giveaways, live data lookups, and a fair amount of nonsense — all from one bot that never asks you to go log into a dashboard first. I built it because I got tired of adding bots to my server and then spending twenty minutes configuring them before they'd do anything useful.

The short version:

  • ⚡ Most things work the second it joins. The rest is one slash command, not a web panel.
  • 🆓 Everything is free. There's no premium tier, so there's nothing to unlock.
  • 💬 Real slash commands with autocomplete and proper permission checks.
  • 🔓 Open source under GPL-3.0 — read it, fork it, run your own copy.
  • 🪶 Light enough that you'll forget it's running.

🛡️ Moderation

The usual toolkit, minus the setup tax.

Command What it does
/ban / /unban Gone, permanently — or not, if you're feeling generous
/kick Out, but they can come back if they behave
/timeout Discord-native timeout, for when someone needs a minute
/warn / /warnings / /unwarn Warnings that stick around, so the third one isn't a surprise
/modstats A member's full moderation history at a glance
/purge Bulk-delete messages before anyone screenshots them
/slowmode Cool a channel down mid-argument
/nickname Fix that nickname
/role-give / /role-remove Hand out a role, or take one back
/role-search Find everyone in that one role in a server that has sixty of them
/auditlog Log edits, deletes, joins, role changes and more — each category on or off, in its own channel if you like

Warning history is persistent, so you're not relying on memory or scrollback to spot a repeat offender.

🤖 Automod

Off until you want it, then one command per rule.

Rule What it does
/automod spam Deletes message floods and times out the sender
/automod invites Removes other servers' invite links
/automod links Removes every link
/automod words Your own blocked word list
/automod raid Alerts your mod log when a wave of accounts joins at once
/automod accountage Keeps out brand-new alt accounts, and DMs them why

Mods are never filtered, and you can exempt any role or channel.

📈 Leveling & XP

Members earn XP by chatting — and by talking in voice, if you turn it on. Nothing to buy.

Command What it does
/rank Your level, XP, and how far the next one is
/rankcard Make your rank card yours — colors, background, tagline
/leaderboard Who's actually been talking — this server, or global
/levelrole Roles that unlock automatically at the levels you pick
/xpboost Extra XP for boosters, events channels, whoever you like
/givexp / /setxp Admin override — give, take, or set someone's XP

Level-up messages can be your own words, in any channel or none at all. The leaderboard isn't paywalled, which shouldn't be a selling point, and yet.

👋 Welcome & Roles

Command What it does
/welcome Join and leave messages, plus roles handed out on join
/buttonroles Click-to-get role buttons — pronouns, pings, colors, anything

🎟️ Community

Command What it does
/giveaway Click-to-enter giveaways, with an optional level requirement and rerolls
/ticket A button that opens a private support channel, with a transcript when it closes
/starboard The best messages, reposted once they get enough ⭐
/alerts A post the moment a YouTube channel uploads or a Twitch streamer goes live
/poll Quick yes/no polls
/reminder Have Crimstone nudge you later

🔌 Tools & Integrations

Live data from around the web, pulled straight into chat.

Command What it does
/github-track Get a live feed of a GitHub repo's activity
/github-stars How many stars a repo has
/mcstatus Is the server up? How many people are on?
/mcskin Pull up any player's Minecraft skin
/weather Actual conditions, anywhere in the world
/crypto Live prices, for the one person in your server who won't stop talking about it
/translate Translate text into another language
/define Look up a word
/steal Borrow an emoji from another server

🎉 Fun

For when the chat has been dead for six hours.

Command What it does
/catfact A cat fact. That's it.
/meow Cats, on demand
/mrrp Mrrp
/8ball Ask the Magic 8-Ball
/coinflip Settle it
/roll Roll a die
/ship Matchmaking with a completely made-up compatibility score
/gif GIFs without leaving Discord
/deepfry Ruin an image, respectfully

🧰 Utility

The small stuff that saves you a trip to server settings.

Command What it does
/help Every command, or the details on one
/avatar Anyone's avatar, full size
/user / /server / /roleinfo Everything Discord will tell you about a member, server or role
/serverstats How active your server has been
/snipe Bring back the message someone just deleted
/afk Let people know you're away when they ping you
/announce / /embed Announcements and embeds that look like you meant it
/echo Make the bot say it instead of you
/config Every server setting, in one place
/ping / /uptime / /reach Response time, uptime, and how far Crimstone has spread

🔓 Open Source

Crimstone is GPL-3.0. If you don't want to trust someone else's bot with your server, don't — clone it and run your own. Issues and PRs are welcome either way.
