Teen safety for Discord communities.

Lookout detects and removes inappropriate contact between adults and teens, alerts your moderators and gives members a private way to report concerns. It is free and open source.

Safety Scan

Evaluate Lookout before enabling it. For 7 days, Lookout monitors your server without removing messages or contacting members. Your moderators then receive a report of every action it would have taken, with a link to each message. Threats to share a teen's images and self-harm images are sent to moderators immediately.

Protection

• Message Filter: Removes inappropriate messages sent by adults to teens in five languages, including messages written to evade filters.
• Contact Information Filter: Removes phone numbers, email addresses and social media handles sent to teens.
• Threat Detection: Removes threats to share a teen's images and requests for images, regardless of the sender.
• Image Filter: Removes inappropriate images in channels accessible to teens.
• Warning Signs: Tracks risk indicators over 30 days and opens a case when several accumulate.
• Age Checks: Identifies adults presenting as teens and notifies moderators.
• Auto-Detect: Protects members who state they are under 18, with no age roles required.
• Lookout Network: Alerts moderators when an account that targeted teens in other servers becomes active in yours.
• Message Check: Allows members to privately review any message, including direct messages.

Commands

• /setup: Configure Lookout and manage its settings.

• /cases: Browse open and past alerts. Moderators only.
• /history: View a member's safety history. Moderators only.
• /warn: Issue a warning to a member.
• /summary: View the last 7 days of activity. Moderators only.

Permissions and Privacy

• Does not require Administrator and cannot ban or kick members.
• Does not read direct messages unless a member submits one.
• Does not join voice channels.
• All features are free, and the source code is publicly available.

Get Started

Invite Lookout, then select Free Safety Scan on its welcome message or run /setup.
