Publishes every new message in your announcement channels automatically, so servers following them get your posts right away.

Publish your announcements automatically

A message in an announcement channel only reaches the servers following it after someone clicks Publish. Auto Publisher does that for you: every new message in your announcement channels gets published, around the clock.

Invite it and keep posting as usual. There is nothing to set up.

What it does

  • Works in every announcement channel as soon as it joins.
  • Discord allows 10 publishes per hour per channel. Anything above that is queued and published once the limit frees up, so no post gets skipped.
  • After a restart it catches up on messages from the last 24 hours that were not published yet.
  • You can pause it for the whole server or leave out single channels.
  • It does not use the Message Content intent, so it never sees what your messages say.
  • Every message is published once, never twice.
  • It replies in English or German.

Setup

  1. Click Invite on this page.
  2. Check that the bot has View Channel, Send Messages, Read Message History and Manage Messages in your announcement channels. Manage Messages is what lets it publish posts from other members and bots.
  3. Post something in an announcement channel. It gets published automatically.

Commands

For everyone:

  • /help lists all commands
  • /invite shows the invite link
  • /about shows server count, uptime and the status of your server
  • /review takes you to the review page
  • /support shows the support server

For members with Manage Server:

  • /autopublish pause and resume turn autopublishing off and on for the whole server, /autopublish status shows the current state
  • /autopublish exclude and include do the same for a single channel
  • /channels lists your announcement channels
  • /language set picks English or German. Until you set it, the bot follows your server's Discord language.
  • /logchannel set picks a channel for notices from the bot

FAQ

Does the bot read my messages?
No. It does not use the Message Content intent, so Discord does not share your messages' content with it.

I post more than 10 announcements per hour. What happens?
That's Discord's limit per channel. Extra messages are queued and published as soon as the limit frees up (they wait up to about 3 hours).

Can I keep a channel from being published?
Yes: /autopublish exclude #channel. To pause everything, use /autopublish pause. Messages posted while it was off are not published afterwards.

My server really posts a lot. Can I get more?
Auto Publisher has fair-use limits for unusually high volume. Servers with a real need can ask to be whitelisted in the support server; whitelisted servers are exempt from these limits. Discord's own limit of 10 publishes per hour per channel still applies.

A message was not published. Why?
Usually a missing permission (most often Manage Messages), a paused server or excluded channel, or the hourly limit. Check /autopublish status and /about, or ask in the support server.

I don't see any slash commands.
Restart Discord (Ctrl+R). If they still don't show up, invite the bot again with the Invite button. You don't need to remove it first.
