HepBoat

HepBoat is a moderation platform for Discord communities that have outgrown "a bot with a ban command." It comes from the rowboat line of moderation bots and keeps that family's best idea: your server's entire behaviour is one readable config document. On top of that it adds a full web dashboard, live reload, and a long list of newer systems built for servers with real moderation workloads.

One config, the whole server

Every setting for your server lives in a single YAML document. That sounds technical, but it changes everything:

• You can read it. One scroll shows exactly what the bot will do in your server.
• Every change is tracked. Any edit, from the dashboard or from a command, creates a history entry you can diff and restore in one click.
• Changes apply live. Save, and the bot picks it up within a second. No sync button, no restart.
• Forms never fight the file. The dashboard edits only the settings you touched, so your comments and hand-written sections survive.

Prefer clicking to typing? Every plugin has a full dashboard form. Prefer typing? The raw editor is right there. Both write to the same document.

Moderation that keeps receipts

• Infractions - warnings, mutes, timeouts, kicks, softbans, tempbans and bans, all numbered, searchable, editable and reversible. Timed punishments undo themselves.
• Mod log - more than 100 action types, routed into whichever channels you choose, with per-channel subscriptions and custom message formats.
• Appeals - banned members can appeal through a public form, and your team reviews the appeals right in Discord.
• Reports and mobile moderation - members flag messages, and staff act on them from a phone without hunting for IDs.
• Permission levels - a clear level system for commands, plus per-command overrides and lockdowns. The dashboard uses the same tiers, so who can do what is consistent everywhere.

Prevention, not just cleanup

• Censor - filters invites, links and domains, words, tokens, zalgo, caps and mass mentions, with per-channel and per-level rules and an anti-raid layer.
• Anti-spam - rate-based rules for messages, mentions, duplicates, newlines, attachments and more, each with its own punishment.
• Image scam scanning - teach HepBoat a scam image once and it catches that image again, even when it's reposted as a different file or a link.
• Honeypot channels - trap channels that automatically act on spam bots posting where no human would.
• Native AutoMod - manage Discord's own AutoMod rules from the dashboard, and log every AutoMod action to your mod log.
• Ban networks - share bans with servers you trust, or join the global ban network so known bad actors are already banned before they reach you.
• HepBoat Intelligence (with Premium) - AI-assisted moderation that reads messages against common harms and your own server rules, scores each one, and either sends it to a review channel with one-click actions or handles it automatically at the level you choose.

Community features people actually use

• Leveling - XP tracks, role rewards, image rank cards with custom backgrounds, and a public web leaderboard.
• A full server economy - daily, work and crime, a role shop, rank-card flair, casino games, horse races, prediction bets, bank heists, investing on a live market, and a deep fishing game with boats, bait, aquariums and trophies.
• Quests - write your own quests over games, the economy and everyday activity, paying out in coins, XP or roles.
• Applications - staff apps, whitelist requests and signups. Members apply in DMs or on the web, and your staff review from Discord or the dashboard queue.

HepBoat is free to invite. Premium unlocks the full feature set and is sold in prepaid 30-day blocks per server. Nothing ever auto-renews: you buy time when you want it, it stacks, and there's a 7-day grace period if you forget. Anything your server doesn't have yet shows a clear banner saying exactly what it needs.
