What it does

HexaGuess is a word-guessing game like Wordle, with six-letter words and 9 attempts. The whole channel works on the same word: anyone can guess by typing it in chat with a prefix, like !planet. The board shows colored tiles for each guess and a keyboard of the letters already used.

Points go to the players whose guesses uncover letters, so it's a team effort and a race at the same time.

How to play

Start a game with /play, or set a game channel for hourly automatic games.
Type a six-letter word with a prefix: !planet. The prefixes ! , . and ? all work.
Green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word somewhere else, and gray means it isn't in the word.
Solve it within 9 guesses. The same word can't be guessed twice.

Points

+1 when your guess turns a letter from gray to yellow, or from yellow to green.
+2 when your guess turns a letter from gray straight to green.

Points add up on /leaderboard for your server and /globalboard across every server.

Key features

Hourly games: with a game channel set, a new game starts every hour, on the hour. The previous one ends, and the bot can ping a role so players know.
Over 5,000 words in the word list.
Guess cooldown: admins choose how long each player waits between guesses (0 to 600 seconds, 3 minutes by default), so everyone gets a turn.
Hints from votes: each Top.gg vote gives you a quarter of a fragment. /hint spends 1 fragment to reveal the next green letter, once per game.
