Auto-translate is on as soon as the bot joins. Pick the language with /server language, and choose which channels with /server autotranslate.

What it does

• Auto-translate: every channel, only the channels you choose, or none. Messages are translated into your server's language as they arrive.
• Two languages in one channel: run /channel translate twice and a Korean and English room reads both ways. Nothing is ever translated into the language it was written in. Two languages per channel free, eight on a Server plan.
• Flag reactions: react with a flag on any message to translate it into that flag's language (55 languages).
• Right-click, Apps, Translate Message: a private translation, visible only to you.
• Watch a member: /watch @user sends you their messages in that server by DM, translated. Anyone can switch this off for themselves with /settings privacy, or block one person with /blacklist.
• Glossary: names, brands and in-jokes stay as you write them in automatic translations. Every server gets 3 terms free.
• A weekly summary: how many translations, which languages, who took part.
• A language tutor: /practice in 28 languages, with streaks, XP and leaderboards.

Free, and genuinely free

5,000 translations every 30 days on every server, with no card and no trial timer. Most servers never come close to it.

Paid plans are for servers that want more:

• Server Basic, $9.99 a month: 100,000 translations a month, 8 languages per channel, 250 glossary terms, full tutor rounds for every member, and encrypted translation logs deleted after 30 days.
• Server Pro, $14.99 a month: no monthly limit, plus seamless translation, which replaces the original message with its translation, posted under the author's name.
• Personal plans, from $2.99 a month, follow you into every server: encrypted history, shorter auto-delete and full tutor rounds. They never change a server's limits.

Privacy, plainly

• The bot reads message text to translate it, and keeps a log of each translation (up to 500 characters), deleted after 90 days on the free plan.
• Paid plans encrypt those logs at rest with AES-256-GCM. The key is held on our server, so you can read your own history on the dashboard.
• /deletedata erases what the bot stores about you: your profile, history, settings, watches and tutor progress.

Where it is used

Running in 474 servers with a combined 26,000 members. Over the last 90 days the most-translated languages after English were Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian and Russian.

Built and run by one developer, with a translation engine that fails over to a second provider, so one outage does not stop your server's translations.

Real-time translation for your whole community

Discord Translator translates messages moments after they land, in 110 languages, in 474 servers with a combined 26,000 members. Every server gets a free plan of 5,000 translations every 30 days, and most never come close to it.

Translate the room, not just the message

• /server language sets a default, and the bot translates every channel into it.
• /channel translate gives one channel its own language. Run it twice and the channel speaks two languages at once: Korean posts appear in English, English posts appear in Korean, and nothing is ever translated into the language it was written in. Free servers get two languages per channel; Server plans get eight.
• /channel category does the same for a whole category.

Translate for yourself

• Right-click any message, then Apps, Translate Message. Only you see the result.
• React with a flag and the bot translates that message into the flag's language.

Learn a language while you chat

/practice is a built-in tutor: 28 languages, 454 phrases each, written for each language in advance and corrected in a separate review pass. Nothing is translated on the fly. In 24 of the languages you type the answer, and it is marked by rules written for that language: forgiving about the accent your keyboard cannot reach, and built to refuse a word that means something else. Streaks, XP, a server leaderboard, a phrase of the day, and head-to-head challenges. Free rounds are four questions; a Personal or Server plan plays the full ten.

Privacy

/deletedata erases what the bot stores about you. Paid plans encrypt stored translations at rest (the key is held on our server) and delete them sooner.

Personal plans from $2.99 a month follow you into every server and never change a server's limits. Server Basic ($9.99) and Server Pro ($14.99) cover every member of one server. Server Pro adds seamless translation, where the translation replaces the original message.
