Game Oceanは、Discord上でCoD（Call of Duty）とVALORANTのコミュニティ大会運営に特化した無料botです。2023年9月にShiftkeyが個人開発・公開し、収益ゼロ・運用コストはHerokuホスティング代のみという非営利体制で運営されています。2025年3月にはDiscord Verified Bot認証を取得しました。主な機能は、大会用テキストチャンネルの自動作成、マップのランダムピック・バンピック進行、画像生成による試合結果管理など。加えて、アクティベート不要で誰でも使える先攻後攻決めのダイスやコイントスといった汎用コマンドも備えています。この汎用コマンド層はCoD/VALORANT以外にもTCG・カードゲームコミュニティなど幅広い層に定着し、利用サーバーの85%を占めるまでになりました。大会運営機能の方は、天下一CANON杯やクラウドファンディング支援を行ったTOGIZIRU TOURNAMENTなど、実際の大会運営で活用されています。2026年6月時点で導入サーバー数277・公式Discordサーバー参加者207名まで成長。開発者本人の多忙により運営リソースは限られていますが、今後は機能の有料化、Apex Legends・Marvel Rivals等への対応タイトル拡張、英語対応による海外展開などが検討されています。

Game Ocean is a free Discord bot built by Japanese developer Shiftkey, purpose-built for running Call of Duty and VALORANT community tournaments. Launched in September 2023 and operated as a non-commercial project — zero revenue, with running costs limited entirely to Heroku hosting — it earned Discord Verified Bot status in March 2025. Its core features include automated tournament text-channel creation, random map picks and ban-pick progression, and image-generated match result tracking. Alongside these, it offers general-purpose utilities like dice rolls and coin tosses that require no activation and are open to anyone. That open utility layer has attracted a surprisingly broad audience well beyond FPS titles, including trading-card-game communities, and now accounts for roughly 85% of all servers running the bot. The tournament-specific features, which require a manual activation request, have powered real competitive events such as the Tenkaichi CANON Cup and the crowdfunded TOGIZIRU TOURNAMENT. By June 2026, Game Ocean had grown to 277 installed servers and 207 members in its official Discord community.
