Vested

Vested gives out roles that take themselves back. Grant a member a role for a span or until a date, and Vested removes it when the time is up. No reminders, no spreadsheet.

Commands

• /vested grant takes a member, a role, and a for: span (30m, 12h, 7d, 4w, 6mo, 1y) or a date. Granting the same role again extends it.
• /vested revoke takes a granted role back early.
• /vested list shows every active grant, soonest to expire first. Narrow it by member or role.
• /vested why shows every timed role a member has or had, who gave it, when, until when, and why.
• /vested settings sets a log channel that gets a line when a role is granted, extended, revoked, or runs out.

Use it for trial roles, event access, temporary staff, mutes with an end date, VIP perks, and anything else that should stop on its own.

Safety

Vested only grants roles that both it and the requesting moderator outrank, the same rule Discord applies. Integration managed roles are refused. If Vested's role sits below the one you asked for, the reply says what to drag where. Every action also lands in Discord's own audit log.

Privacy

Vested stores grant records only: who, which role, who granted it, when, until when, and the reason. No message content, no member tracking. It does not request the Message Content intent. Full statement: pratherbytecraft.com/vested/privacy

Permissions

Manage Roles, nothing else. Its role must sit above the roles it hands out.
