⚡ RPG Thunder

Your hero is going to die inside Discord. RPG Thunder is a free, turn-based roguelike RPG you play with slash commands and buttons, right in your server, your DMs or a browser tab. Fight your way down one long road of 26 cities. Death is permanent. Your legacy isn't, which is the whole reason to keep going.

How a life goes

• Gear up in town. Gather, fish and craft with account-wide life skills. Take jobs from the daily board, trade on the market and pick your abilities. Nothing in town can kill you, which is exactly why you can't stay.
• Commit to an expedition. A branching route of 6 to 10 stops: fights, elites, events, camps and treasure. It ends at the gate boss, and beating it opens the next city. Bravery is non-refundable.
• Die, and leave something behind. Level, gold and gear go with you. Echoes, the legacy tree, life skills, an heirloom and everything you learned stay for your heir, who will be told you were brave.

What's in it

• ⚔️ Battles you can read: enemies telegraph their next move, every ability says what it does, and bosses change phase mid-fight.
• 🧙 8 classes: start as a Warrior, then unlock the Rogue, Ranger, Mage, Cleric, Paladin, Necromancer and Druid as your family gets further. Talent trees and a four-move loadout for each.
• 🗺️ 26 cities in 6 tiers, each with its own gate boss, enemies, events and history to piece together in your family journal.
• 🥚 Creatures: hatch eggs, fill your dex, hunt shinies and bring a companion into battle.
• 👥 Parties of 2 to 4 in a thread, with Need/Greed loot and bosses that scale with the party.
• 🪦 A server that remembers: every death gets an obituary in your graveyard channel, ghosts of fallen heroes walk the road, and a world boss arrives every week.
• 🏆 Daily and weekly goals: a daily job board, a daily gauntlet with medals, a weekly chest and season leaderboards for your server and everyone.
• 🖥️ One hero, everywhere: play with commands, as a Discord Activity with /play, or in the browser at play.rpgthunder.com. It's the same character on your Discord account.

Getting started

1. Add RPG Thunder to your server (or to your account, to play anywhere).
2. Type /start. A short prologue teaches the battle screen, then you pick your first hero.
3. Server admins: run /setup to choose a graveyard channel for obituaries and a game channel for big moments.

Fair play

RPG Thunder is free. The store sells looks only: themes, card styles, obituary styles, portrait frames and titles. Nothing you can buy touches stats, energy, loot or odds. Your stats stay exactly as good as you made them.
