Lockit lets your server reserve shared things so two people never use them at once: staging and dev environments, test devices, servers, licences, meeting rooms, anything.
How it works
- /lockit new name:staging-db creates a resource, and lock and release updates are posted to that channel
- /lockit lock resource:staging-db duration:2 hours takes it (times like "till 6pm" work too)
- /lockit list shows what's free and who holds what, with one-click Lock and Release buttons
- /lockit release resource:staging-db gives it back
When it's busy
- Alert me when free: get a DM the moment it's released
- Ask to take over: the holder gets a DM with Release to them / Keep it
- Locks expire on their own, so nothing stays reserved forever
