Scour

Scour deletes messages by rule, any age, and leaves a receipt. Describe what to delete, Scour counts it and shows your filter in plain words, and nothing happens until you press Delete.

Filters, combine any of them

• Channel, or every channel Scour can see
• Older than a span or a date
• One member, including someone who has left (by user id)
• Bots, attachments, images, embeds, links
• Words in the text

Commands

• /scour messages the general sweep
• /scour user everything one member ever posted, any age
• /scour reactions clear reactions off a range, messages stay
• /scour policy nightly retention rules, receipted every night
• /scour-mine members delete their own messages, once you turn it on
• /scour history and a log channel for every receipt

No 14-day limit. Discord's bulk delete stops at two weeks. Scour keeps going, one message at a time, and the receipt shows exactly how far it got.

Safety. Only the person who asked can confirm, and Scour re-checks their permission when they do. Pinned messages are kept unless you say otherwise. Protected channels and protected roles are honoured everywhere.

Privacy. Message text is matched against your filter and never stored. Receipts hold counts and ids only. Full statement: pratherbytecraft.com/scour/privacy

Permissions. View Channel, Read Message History and Manage Messages where it sweeps, Send Messages and Embed Links where receipts post. Manage Threads only if you want private archived threads included.

Heads up for reviewers: Scour is an interactions-only app, so it shows as offline in the member list. Try /scour messages older_than:30d in a channel it can see. It only counts until you press Delete.
