🎣 Bobber

Type bc and cast. You get a fish, some gear, or nothing at all.

Every fish you land is a card with its own size, pose and serial number, and nobody else will ever have that exact one. The cooldown is five minutes, so you can fish while you're doing other stuff in the server.

The cards

25 species (more coming), from bluegill and perch up to sturgeon and tiger muskie. Each one has three poses with their own art.

Size matters. A huge bluegill can be worth more than a small walleye. Low serial numbers are worth more too, so being early to a species counts.

Every so often a fish comes up as a morph. Palomino, Albino, Leucistic or Tiger. Around 1 in 25 fish. You'll know when it happens.

Fighting the big ones

Rare fish don't just show up in your collection. You have to land them. Hold the rod the way it's pulling, reel when it gives you room, and keep the line tension in the green. Mess it up and it's gone.

You don't find out what it is until it's in the net.

Weather

Any catch can set off weather for the whole server. Cooldowns drop, rare odds go up, and six fish start biting that you can't get any other way. It lasts 30 minutes, so when the ping goes off everyone jumps in.

Things to work toward

Field Journal. Stamps for every species and challenges with real rewards, so there's always something close to done. Hired fishers. Send one out while you're offline and see what they bring back. They all fish a little differently. The Shed. Gut fish you don't need for fillets and spend them on gear that's better than anything you'll find. It breaks eventually. Your angler. Dress them up, unlock backgrounds and put frames on your best cards. Trading. Swap cards with anyone. Fair trades only, both sides lock in before it goes through.
