Hi, I’m Liv 💜 Real listeners, local help for food, housing and bills, and private wellbeing tools. Free support, right in Discord.
Support for the person behind the username.
A real person to talk to. Help finding food, housing, and support. Small tools for the days that feel anything but small.
Liv brings Havenward’s human listeners, crisis and everyday resources, and private wellbeing tools into Discord. Add her so your members have a place to begin, whether they need a conversation, a practical next step, or a quiet moment.
Free to use. Human conversations. Help at your own pace.
Human connection comes first
Members can DM Liv or use /talk to request a trained Havenward Volunteer Listener. Once a listener accepts, the conversation continues through normal messages in their DMs.
There is no need to explain everything perfectly. They can ask for space to talk, help considering options, or a hand finding a resource. They can change their mind or end the conversation whenever they need to.
If someone wants practical help, a listener can explore local options with them, look through listed eligibility and service-area information, and help prepare questions for a provider.
That might mean looking for a food bank, rental assistance, or a free legal clinic. Listening and helping someone navigate the circumstances weighing on them belong together.
Volunteer availability varies. Liv explains the available options if nobody accepts; an immediate response or round-the-clock coverage is not guaranteed. Resources and self-guided tools remain available to explore independently.
Expanded everyday resources
Not knowing how you’ll afford groceries or keep up with rent is enough of a reason to look for help. Havenward’s everyday directory gives practical assistance its own home, alongside a separate crisis and emotional-support directory.
Search both collections with /resources. Filter by country, type of help, and contact method, with state, province, or regional filters where supported. Browse more results inside Discord, compare options, and save useful services for later.
/resources kind:non-crisis country:US region:US-WI category:foodThe September 2026 directory includes 495 everyday listings across 53 countries and territories, plus 261 crisis listings. Local coverage, provider eligibility, funding, and availability vary.
Make the next step less overwhelming
Liv’s /practical tools help someone prepare before contacting a provider. Keep the information organized, work out what to ask, and choose one manageable action.
Open a preparation checklist for the kind of assistance you need.
/practical checklistPrepare questions about coverage, eligibility, costs, intake, and what happens next.
/practical questionsSave an encrypted plan with the provider, next action, follow-up note, and questions.
/practical plan editThe everyday website has comparison, checklist, and next-step tools too. Website and Discord plans are separate. Plans do not submit applications, contact providers, or send reminders, and providers decide eligibility and acceptance.
For the everyday moments, too
Open /wellbeing for a private hub with simple choices. Take what helps, skip what doesn’t, and come back whenever you want.
Try a breathing timer, grounding, relaxation, a sensory break, or a quiet noticing, word, or creative activity. Stop or switch activities at your own pace.
/breathe /quiet-space /tools
Find language for asking for company, space, or someone to listen. Explore boundaries, supporting a friend, and preparing for appointments. Tone-tag guidance can help clarify informal messages.
/say /tone-tags /tools reach-out
Choose a small plan that fits your capacity, make space between activities, or reflect after a difficult conversation. There is no wellbeing score to earn.
/plan-day /debrief /tools next-step
Create a safety plan, comfort menu, and support map. Revisit the coping options, people, places, and services you have chosen. Saved contents are encrypted at rest and can be viewed, edited, or deleted.
/safety-plan /comfort /support-map
A care card explains what helps, what to avoid, and how you prefer people to check in. View it privately or download a branded PNG to share yourself. Nothing is sent to listeners automatically.
/care-card edit /care-card share
Take a one-off check-in, opt into recurring DMs, or set a reminder for a break, reaching out, winding down, your safety plan, or an appointment. Snooze or pause when you want.
/check-in /reminder /pause-reminders
Check-ins are optional reminders, not monitoring. Missing one does not alert staff or anyone you know. Reminder delivery can be delayed.
Built to fit your community
Adding Liv makes human support and practical resources easier to discover from a place your members already use. Havenward’s listeners handle listener requests; your moderators do not need to become the volunteer team.
/support-panelPost a discovery panel that opens private wellbeing tools and human-support options.
/resource-channelWhere enabled, designate a channel for requests such as “Food banks in Wisconsin, US.” Members can refine searches and use Show more or Back. /search-reset clears their recent search context.
/welcomeIntroduce new members to Liv and where to find support, in a channel you choose.
/keyword-filterSet word, phrase, or regex rules for selected channels. Preview them before choosing deletion, redaction, or spoilers.
Liv does not need Administrator. Managers choose optional server features, which require relevant permissions and enabled functionality. Resource-channel messages and replies are visible to people with access to that channel.
Be the person who makes room to listen
Want to help someone feel heard and find their next step? Applicants aged 16 or older can apply through Liv. All training is provided, covering listening, boundaries, privacy, resource exploration, and when to involve a supervisor.
Use /apply to share your name and motivation. Volunteers complete Havenward’s training and approval process before supporting users.
/applyKeep exploring: /awareness for shareable materials, /suggest-resource to submit a service for review, /privacy for data and access information, and /bot help for the command list. /support opens the project’s community and bot-help server; /talk requests a listener.
Havenward is a free resource and peer-support project, not a medical provider or emergency service. Conversations are with human volunteers; Liv does not offer automated emotional counseling. Optional natural-language resource search uses Liv’s automated system to match requests to directory listings.
Private conversations may be accessed by authorized Havenward staff for supervision and safeguarding. Support and assistance outcomes cannot be guaranteed. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
