AI Image Scam Detection

One of Muffin's biggest features is its image scam detection.

Scam images pretending to be from creators like MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Elon Musk, and others have become common across Discord. Muffin can detect and block these before members fall for them.

When enabled, every uploaded image is analyzed. Muffin reads the text inside the image and determines whether it is likely to be a scam.

To keep scans fast, Muffin stores a non-reversible image fingerprint. This is not the original image, and it cannot be used to recreate it. If the same image is uploaded again, Muffin checks the fingerprint first instead of scanning it again, making repeat detections almost instant.

By default, every server receives 10 new image scans per minute for free. Cached images do not count toward this limit.

Image Moderation can be enabled from:

Dashboard → Moderation → Image Moderation

If an image is ever flagged incorrectly, you can open a support ticket and we'll investigate it.

Privacy

Muffin is designed with privacy in mind.

Image moderation does not store uploaded images. It stores a non-reversible image fingerprint to speed up future detections. This fingerprint cannot be used to recreate the original image.
