Daily encrypted backups for your Discord server. Restore or repair after a raid or nuke - or move it completely to a new server.

Ventura

Backups for your Discord server.

Raids, nukes, a rogue admin, an accidental click — or simply moving to a new server.

Ventura automatically backs up your Discord server every day and can restore it within minutes. You can either restore the entire server or repair only the things that were changed or deleted.

There is no complicated setup and no password to remember. Invite Ventura, and your server is protected automatically.

Why Ventura?

Automatic backups

The first backup is created only a few minutes after Ventura joins your server. After that, a new backup is created every day.

If nothing changed, Ventura skips that day so your backup history reaches further back.

Repair instead of rebuilding everything

After a raid or accident, most of your server is usually still intact.

Ventura compares your current server with a backup and shows exactly what was:

• deleted
• created
• modified
• renamed
• moved
• permission-edited

You can then repair only those changes while leaving everything else untouched.

Move your server

Ventura can rebuild your server on another Discord server using a one-time transfer code.

This includes channels, roles, permissions, settings, emojis, messages, AutoMod rules, onboarding and much more.

Undo restores

Before Ventura loads or repairs a backup, it automatically creates an undo copy.

If something does not look right, the server owner can restore the previous state within one hour.

Owner-only restores

Only the server owner can:

• load backups
• repair the server
• undo restores
• transfer backups
• delete backups

Even an administrator cannot use a backup to destroy your server or delete your backups before attacking it.

Encrypted backups

Every backup is encrypted using its own AES-256-GCM encryption key.

What Ventura backs up

Server settings

Server name, icon, banner, invite background, verification level, content filter, notification settings, AFK settings, system channel and Community settings.

Roles

Role names, permissions, colors, gradients, icons, order, hoisting and mentionable settings.

Channels

Text channels, announcement channels, voice channels, stage channels, forums and media channels.

Ventura also stores categories, topics, slowmode settings, forum tags and all permission overwrites.

Emojis, stickers and soundboard sounds

Including their files and role restrictions.

AutoMod

All AutoMod rules and their configuration.

Welcome screen and onboarding

Including questions, answers and default channels.

Members

Nicknames and role assignments.

Bans

All bans including their reasons.

Threads and forum posts

Active threads and the 50 most recently archived threads per channel.

Messages

The newest 100 messages from every channel and thread.

This includes:

• attachments
• embeds
• replies
• pins
• forwarded messages
• polls
• stickers

Restored messages are reposted using the original author's name and avatar together with the original date.

Nobody is pinged during the restore.

After a raid

Run:

/backup compare

Ventura scans your current server and compares it with one of your backups.

It can detect things such as deleted channels, modified permissions, removed roles, newly created spam channels, mass bans, purged channels and other changes.

A complete report can also be downloaded as a text file.

The server owner can then press Repair server.

Ventura can automatically:

• recreate deleted channels
• recreate deleted roles
• recreate AutoMod rules
• restore modified permissions
• remove spam channels and roles
• reverse mass bans
• restore member roles
• refill purged channels

Anything that is still correct remains untouched.

Moving to another server

On the old server, the owner runs:

/backup transfer

Ventura creates a one-time transfer code that remains valid for 24 hours.

Invite Ventura to the new server and run:

/backup load

Enter the transfer code and Ventura rebuilds the server.

The server structure, settings, roles, channels, emojis, AutoMod rules, onboarding, bans, threads and messages can all be restored.

Members themselves cannot be moved between Discord servers.

Members who already joined the new server can automatically receive their previous roles and nicknames again.

Bots from the old server are listed together with ready-to-use invite links.

Your backups stay safe

Even if an attacker removes Ventura from your Discord server, your backups are kept for 7 days.

You can invite Ventura again and restore the server, or transfer the backup to another server.

Getting started

1. Invite Ventura

Ventura requires the Administrator permission because many Discord resources cannot otherwise be restored.

2. Move Ventura's role to the top

This allows Ventura to manage and recreate your server roles correctly.

3. Run /backup check

Ventura checks your configuration and tells you if anything is missing.

That's it.

Automatic backups are already enabled.

Built for emergencies

Ventura shows live progress during restores, including the estimated remaining time.

For longer restores, the server owner receives a DM once the process has finished.

Individual errors never cancel the complete restore. If something cannot be restored, Ventura continues and lists the affected item together with the reason afterwards.

If Ventura restarts during a restore, the process automatically continues.

Each server can keep:

5 manual backups

plus

11 automatic backups • 7 daily backups
• 4 weekly backups
