New Year Train

Automatically posts a Happy New Year message in your server every time midnight hits somewhere in the world — all 38 timezone stops, from UTC+14 down to UTC−12.

Set it up once and forget about it. On New Year's Eve the train departs at the first stop (Kiribati's Line Islands) and rolls through every timezone over the next 26 hours, posting a message at each one listing the countries and regions that just entered the new year. A pre-train announcement goes out an hour before the first stop, and a farewell message closes things off after the last one.

Every server gets its own configuration: pick the channel, pause and resume whenever you like, and turn off individual stops, ranges of stops, or everything except the ones your community cares about, so quieter servers don't get flooded. The schedule is worked out automatically for each year, so there's nothing to update annually.

The bot currently supports these commands (all require Manage Channels):

/setup to choose the posting channel and enable the train /toggle to pause or resume the whole train /setchannel to change the posting channel /stops to enable or disable specific stops or ranges (e.g. stop_11, stop_5-stop_15, all_stops, pre_train, post_train) /status to see your server's config, next stop, and delivery progress /schedule to list every upcoming fire time /preview to see what any stop's message looks like without sending it /sendnow to fire a specific stop into your channel immediately (handy for testing) /help for the full paginated command list

It only needs Send Messages and View Channel permissions, but the member managing the bot has to have Manage Channel permission themselves.
