SunnyBot is a summer-themed Discord bot packed with features to bring the warm vibes of summer into your server. Track a personal summer bucket list, run a community photo contest with interactive voting, check the weather, and discover fun summer trivia. Whether you're running a laid-back hangout server or a bustling community, SunnyBot adds that seasonal spark.

Built in C# with DSharpPlus, SunnyBot is fast, lightweight, and designed with a focus on actually being useful and fun to use. It was made for the Top.gg Summer Bot Jam 2026.

Summer Bucket List

Create and manage your own personal summer bucket list right inside Discord.

• /bucket_add - Add any activity you want to do this summer
• /bucket_list - View your full list with a visual progress bar showing completion percentage
• /bucket_done - Mark items as done (they get a nice strikethrough)
• /bucket_remove - Drop items you no longer care about
• /bucket_stats - See your personal completion stats

Every user gets their own list, saved to a database so it sticks around. Add things like "Go to the beach" or "Watch a sunset" and watch that progress bar fill up all season.

Photo Contest

Host a summer photo contest in your server. Members submit their best summer photos and the community votes on them, all through button interactions.

• /photo_submit - Upload a .png, .jpeg, or .jpg photo with an optional description
• /photo_list - Browse all submissions in a paginated gallery
• /photo_leaderboard - Top 10 photos ranked by net community votes
• /photo_remove (Admin) - Remove a submission by ID
• /photo_reset (Admin) - Clear all submissions and votes

When a photo goes up, SunnyBot posts an embed with thumbs up and thumbs down buttons. Members vote right from the message, no reactions needed. One vote per person per photo, and the leaderboard sorts by net upvotes. If a photo message gets deleted from Discord, SunnyBot automatically cleans up the related votes and records from the database.

Summer Fun

• /weather - Check current weather for any location. Shows temperature, humidity, wind speed, and picks an emoji based on how hot or cold it is. Powered by OpenWeatherMap.
• /summer_stats - Server-wide stats across both the bucket list and photo contest. Total items completed, photo submissions, unique participants, all in one place.
• /summer_fact - Get a random summer trivia fact. Things like "the Eiffel Tower grows taller in summer because metal expands" or "you can estimate the temperature by counting cricket chirps." There are 20 facts to come across.
