Real previews for Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky & Steam links - translated tweets, native video, zero setup.
Discord's own link previews for Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, and Bluesky have been unreliable or missing entirely for a long time, videos that won't play, embeds that just don't load, screenshots pasted instead of working links. Embed Bot fixes that automatically: post a link, and it's replaced with a real, working preview, with no commands and no setup required.
For Twitter/X, it goes further than a basic fix. Tweets that aren't in English are automatically translated, with the original language shown alongside the translation. Video isn't just linked, it's downloaded and re-uploaded as a native Discord attachment, so it plays inline with zero dependency on a third-party embed page ever staying online. Each tweet gets a full card: the author with a verified badge if applicable, the post's relative timestamp, reply/retweet/like counts, and if, it's a quote tweet, the quoted post's own text and media shown alongside it. Sensitive media is spoiler-tagged rather than shown openly, matching how the platform itself gates flagged content.
Instagram, TikTok, and Bluesky links get fixed the same way, pasted, replaced, working.
Steam support came from a simple question: could game links get the same treatment? Steam's own API turned out to provide clean data for a game's title, description, developer, publisher, and price, so that part was straightforward. Video was the harder problem, Steam only serves trailers as fragmented streaming video, not a single downloadable file, which normally means needing heavyweight video-processing tools just to grab a clip. Instead, the bot pulls the video stream's segments directly and reassembles them into a standard playable file on its own. It plays natively, right in the card, alongside the game's title, description, developer, price, and a link straight to the store page.
Every reply is posted using the original poster's name and avatar via a webhook, so it still looks like it came from them, the bot fades into the background, and the conversation doesn't skip a beat. For anyone who wants to trigger a fix manually, or use it outside a server it's been added to, a simple /fix command works anywhere, including direct messages.
The goal throughout has been the same: no broken previews, no missing video, no manual copy-pasting into a fixer site, just paste a link, and it works.
