I'm excited to announce some big updates to the bot that I think you're going to love. First off, I've added slash commands to make it even easier to interact with coolkidbot. Now, you can simply type / and see all the available commands, without having to remember any complex commands.

In addition, I've fixed a lot of bugs that were causing issues with the bot's functionality. These fixes should make your experience with coolkidbot smoother and more enjoyable.

This migration took quite a while because I had paused development after graduating college and starting my full time job. Now that the bugs are fixed, I'm back to developing the bot and working on some exciting new features that I know you'll enjoy. I have been writing about the dangers of chatbots for a long time.  I have discussed the problems with using them to replace human interaction as well as the legal problems they can create.  Now, there is a new problem that they are causing and it is related to the use of bots in an online gaming environment.

True, many bots are used to play games like Hearthstone, but one of the biggest uses is gambling.   Gambling is a huge deal and it has bot written all over it.   There are numerous websites that allow you to gamble and many of them use bots to play your games for you.  The bots are good enough at some of these games that they can beat many human players.  This has become so bad that many sites have now banned the use of bots from their sites.
