MLB GameDay Bot delivers real-time Major League Baseball coverage directly inside your Discord server. When the final out is recorded, a complete box score drops automatically. No pitch spam. No noise. Just baseball. Play-by-Play Coverage The bot connects to live game data and polls every 7 seconds. Every at-bat result is posted as a clean embed showing the play, the current inning, score, and outs. New batter announcements tell your server who is stepping in and who is on the mound. At the end of each half-inning, a summary posts with the linescore so the scoring picture is always clear. When the game ends, a full box score goes up — complete with runs, hits, and errors by inning, total hits, errors, and the winning team. One Team, Your Channel Set the team you want to track and the channel you want updates posted in. From that point the bot runs on its own — no commands needed during the game. If you want to switch to a random live game mid-session, one command does it and another brings you back. Live Scoreboard Designate a separate channel and the bot keeps a single message there showing every live game across the league, updated every 10 seconds. Score, inning, and game status at a glance, any time of day. Discord Events Set a morning hour and the bot creates a Discord Scheduled Event for your tracked team's game each day. It pulls the venue, first pitch time, TV listings, and probable starters directly from the schedule. When the game wraps up, the event end time updates automatically. Personal DM Updates Any member of any server can subscribe to receive DM updates for whichever teams they want, independent of what the server is tracking. Subscribe to multiple teams, manage them with slash commands, and get play-by-play delivered directly to your inbox during live games. Reliable Data The bot maintains its own record of the current inning, outs, and score throughout each game rather than trusting every value ESPN sends back. Scores never roll back to zero. Outs never jump. If ESPN drops an inning transition, the bot catches it, generates the summary itself, and keeps the feed moving without a gap. Self-Monitoring The bot watches its own output in real time. When something does not look right — a play that did not process, a name that did not resolve, a state that did not advance — it attempts to correct it automatically. If the issue is not resolved within 60 seconds, the server owner receives a direct message with a full breakdown: what game, what went wrong, what the bot tried, and how many attempts were made. No silent failures.
