PizzaByte has recently run into the limits of its existing codebase. We have been experiencing numerous bot downtimes resulting from the outdated codebase which include general crashes, memory leaks and other critical errors.

This codebase dates back to it's origins back in late 2015, and has not undergone any major rewrites since then. In fact, this iteration of PizzaByte only started in 2017, after it's predecessor shutdown.

From a developer standpoint, I haven't been able to get around to working through the codebase to fix all the issues it's built up over the years as I've been in my university studies for 4 years and am now in full time employment as of a year ago.

As it stands, we're proud of being where we are, with about 15000 guilds having PizzaByte in their server and numerous users throughout the years. But at the same time, with Discord's looming deadline in August of this year to mandate the compulsory use of Slash Commands, and myself being unable to fully dedicate time to the bot, the outlook is bleak.

As such, PizzaByte will be indefinitely suspending operations whilst I try to work through the codebase when I can, to bring it up to the latest standards expected of bots by Discord, as well as my own standards in regards to the codebase as well.

Service is terrible. Pizza doesn’t get cooked or delivered outside of their server unless you join their server and say something

literally takes 24+ hours for orders to be completed, use virtual diner instead. terrible bot with a horrible staff team

looks like there's a trend of negative reviews here, and i wonder why, but then again I don't wonder why especially when this bot is running on hopes/dreams and possibly even child labor too. I've heard horror stories of what goes on with the workers of this bot and I feel bad for anyone gullible enough to believe what the owners of this bot have to say. The owners censor anyone who has any criticism about the bot or anyone who talks negatively about the bot as well and i've seen some things that make me think that the owners may even be racist as well. I've personally worked for virtual diner before and I've had a great time, so if you're looking for a food delivery bot that doesn't suck I would use them instead. 

our server got blacklisted a year ago for inappropriate pizzas etc. honestly feels like a hypocrite controlling the service here now isnt it?

Might well be the worst roleplay service I've ever used.

After reviewing the -fifteen different rules- for ordering, it took -twelve hours- for a -cheese pizza- to be delivered. Minor additional gripe, the delivery person ditched within a minute, without waiting for pay!

I have kicked the bot. Use it only if you want to order disappointment. Cute witch pfp tho, I kin.

No good, my friends waited over a day for a simple cheese pizza. I'm reading the reviews below and I've removed the bot from my friends' server considering the workers are not treated well, and it shows too considering we waited over a day for something very simple.

I heard this bot uses child labor to function so i'm here to condemn it.
