Kluvs is designed to help communities run focused, organized, and interactive book clubs right on Discord. Whether managing a single reading group or tracking books across multiple servers, Kluvs provides all the tools needed to handle active sessions, track member participation, and schedule discussions. It also includes built-in AI features to generate quick book summaries when readers need a memory refresh!

🏢 One Server, Multiple Clubs

Kluvs is built to scale seamlessly with your community. You can run a completely different, independent book club in every channel. This allows a single Discord server to host an unlimited number of clubs simultaneously without cross-talk or confusion.

🔐 Flexible Permission System

The bot uses a two-tier permission hierarchy to give you precise control over who manages what:

• • Server Management: Server Managers have unrestricted global access to create, edit, and manage all clubs across the entire server.
• • Club Admins (Per-Channel): Each individual club has its own Owner, Admin, and Member roles. This means server managers can delegate moderation, allowing club admins to manage their specific channel's reading sessions and members without needing full server-wide permissions.

👑 For Server Owners & Admins (Setup Guide)

Getting a club up and running is fast and easy:

• • Step 1: Initialize. Run /setup to launch the first-run wizard, which registers the server and creates the first book club.
• • Step 2: Start a Session. Use /session_create (complete with book search autocomplete) to set the club's current read. Set reading deadlines using /session_update due_date: YYYY-MM-DD.
• • Step 3: Schedule Discussions. Add topics using /discussion_add. You can automatically turn these into Discord calendar events by running /discussion_sync.
• • Step 4: Delegate. Elevate other readers to help run the club using /member_role role: admin.

📖 For Club Members (Reading Along)

Members just need to jump in and participate:

• • Join a Club: Navigate to the specific channel where a book club is hosted and type /join. To take a break or exit the club, simply use /leave.
• • Check the Book: Run /session or /book to view the current reading material.
• • Check Deadlines: Use /due_date to see when the book needs to be finished. You can also use /discussions to see upcoming scheduled topics.
• • Need a Catch-up?: Try /book_summary to get a quick AI-generated recap.
