BloatBot

This is the multi-purpose moderation Bot for discord. As almost any feature request will be implemented, it got its name BloatBot

Bot Deprecation

The current bot is deprecated and will loose most of its feature in the foreseeable future.

The bot was started as evaluation platform and was used to develop many features, of which many have been forked into their own bots. The most successfull being the Remindme Bot, with more than 3000 servers.

As the used discord library was deprecated last summer, the bot in it's current form will be deperecated as well.

Future of the Bot

In the future, this bot will be used as a evaluation platform for a new discord library. To not have a legacy system on an evaluation platform the old features are removed.

As I do not plan to get this bot confirmed by discord (and require message content privileges for testing), this bot cannot grow beyond 100 servers.

In addition, future features will not consider backwards compatibility and might only work on whitelisted servers. The bot stays invitable for every discord user (until it hits 100 servers), but might offer a limited experience on 3rd party servers.

You can always remove and add permissions later on. The bot will inform you when permissions are missing

Some users cannot use the bot?

Make sure the user has the permission to perform slash-commands. This is a recently introduced discord permission, and can control the access to bot commands.

Setup

Use the slash commands or the /help command to see what the bot can do. It's generally recommended to have a look at all /setting or /set commands.

As part of the future development, some setting flags might only be settable by bot admins.

Github

The bot will not get published on GitHub, as it's an evaluation platform.
