LDS-Bot

LDS-Bot sends scriptures from the Book of Mormon, D&C, Pearl of Great Price, and The New and Old Testament (King James Version) when they are referenced in messages

Commands listed here:

• lds bible - prompts you to enable/disable Bible support for the server (you need MANAGE_GUILD perms to do it)
• lds invite - Provides invite link for LDS-Bot.
• lds github - Provides link for LDS-Bot Github Repository
• lds randomverse - Sends random scripture to channel
• lds booknames - Sends list(s) of book names.
• lds bookinfo [bookname] - Provides a little info on book requested
• lds chapters [bookname] - Provides list of chapters and number of verses per chapter for book requested
• lds testimonies - recites the testimonies of the three and eight witnesses
• lds bd [search] - Returns Bible Dictionary entry if found.
• lds tg [search] - Returns Topical Guide entry if found.
• lds titlepage - recites the title page of the Book of Mormon
• lds servers - Provides number of servers LDS-Bot is in
• lds users - Provides number of users across all servers LDS-Bot is on
• lds votd - Sends the VOTD, subcommands are:
  • setchannel [channel] - sets VOTD Channel
  • settime [time] - sets VOTD Time
  • disable - disables VOTD functionality for guild
  • channel [channel] - tells you what channel VOTD will be sent to (if one is set)
  • time [channel] - tells you what time VOTD will be sent at (if one is set)
• lds gcsearch - Searches for a General Conference talk using given parameters:
  • ~year=[year] - filters results to specific year
  • ~month=[month] - filters results to specific month
  • ~speaker=[speaker]- filters results to specific speaker
  • ~results[1-25] - changes the maximum amount of results that are returned
  • Example: "lds gcsearch Prayer ~year=2018 ~results=25"

Please Note: VOTD Time must be in UTC. In addition the commands: settime, setchannel and disable require the permission MANAGE_GUILD to use. This likely means a moderator or admin will need to setup the VOTD functionality on the server.

LDS-Bot needs the following permissions to work correctly:

• Reading / Sending Messages (duh)
• Embed Links - LDS-Bot uses embeds so this is a necessity.
