Shiftwatch

Shiftwatch is a time clock for Discord. Members clock in when their shift starts and clock out when they leave, and the bot keeps track of everyone's hours. It was built for roleplay communities that track duty time for their police and EMS factions, and it works just as well for moderation teams, support staff and small organizations.

How it works

Invite the bot and run /setup wizard. The wizard posts a panel with three buttons (clock in, clock out, status) and lets you pick a log channel, an on-duty role, a leaderboard and the other features step by step. No config files, no external accounts.

From then on, members clock in and out with one button press. While clocked in, they can carry an on-duty role, so everyone sees at a glance who is currently on shift. Every clock event can be posted to a log channel, including where it came from: button, web dashboard, API or an admin.

If someone forgets to clock out

The bot watches for inactivity. After a configurable time (2 hours by default) it pings the member and asks if they are still on duty. If nobody reacts within the response window (10 minutes by default), the member is clocked out automatically. Your statistics will never show a 30-hour shift because someone went to bed.

Statistics, reports, leaderboard

/stats shows members their own hours for today, yesterday, this week or this month. Admins get /admin report for a server-wide overview and can correct mistakes with /admin adjust, /admin delete, /admin clockin and /admin clockout. Every admin action is written to an audit log.

The leaderboard is a self-updating message in a channel of your choice. It ranks members by tracked time, switches between week, month and all-time, and has page buttons so it also works on large servers.

Absences

Members report vacation or sick leave with a button click on the absence board. An overview message shows who is away right now and who will be away soon, and the bot can assign an absence role for the duration. Absence types are configurable, and admins manage everything from the dashboard as well.

Teams

You can group members into teams or departments (Support, Moderation, Development, whatever fits your server). Reports and the user list can then be filtered by team.

Web dashboard

Members log in with their Discord account, see their own history and can clock in and out from the browser. Admins manage time entries, reports, absences, settings and API keys there. Changes made in Discord appear in the dashboard without a page reload, and the other way around.

REST API for game servers

If your community runs a game server, it can clock players in and out over HTTP, so nobody has to alt-tab to Discord mid-game. Heartbeat requests tell the bot a player is still online, which suppresses the inactivity warning while they play. The documentation at https://shiftwatch.de/docs/api includes ready-to-use examples for FiveM (Lua), Roblox, Minecraft (Paper/Spigot), Discord bots (Node.js) and Python. API keys are created in the admin dashboard and stored only as hashes.

Language, hosting, price

The bot speaks English and German; the language is set per server. It is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt) and it is free. No premium tier, no ads.

Stempeluhr erfasst Dienst- und Arbeitszeiten direkt in Discord. Mitglieder stempeln sich per Button ein und aus, der Bot rechnet die Zeiten zusammen, vergibt auf Wunsch eine Im-Dienst-Rolle und schreibt jede Aktion in einen Log-Channel. Dazu kommen eine blätterbare Rangliste, Urlaubs- und Abwesenheitsverwaltung, Teams, ein Web-Dashboard mit Discord-Login und eine REST-API, über die z. B. FiveM-, Roblox- oder Minecraft-Server ihre Spieler automatisch stempeln können. Wer vergisst sich auszustempeln, wird nach einstellbarer Zeit erinnert und danach automatisch ausgestempelt.
