How It Works

Moving messages with Movr is incredibly simple and takes only a matter of seconds:

1. Right-Click the starting message of the conversation you want to relocate.
2. Navigate to the Apps sub-menu and select Move Messages.
3. A clean interface will appear: select your destination channel, pick how many subsequent messages to bring along (1, 5, 10, or a custom amount), and hit submit.

Movr will seamlessly clean up the old channel, mirror everything to the new channel with perfect formatting, and handle the transition completely behind the scenes.

Essential Setup & Discord Role Hierarchy

To ensure Movr works flawlessly across your entire server, it requires the proper permissions to manage messages and webhooks. Because of how Discord handles permissions, you must configure your server's role hierarchy correctly.

1. Open your Server Settings and navigate to the Roles tab.
2. Locate the drag handle (highlighted in the red box) next to the Movr role.
3. Drag the Movr role all the way to the top of your role list (highlighted in the green box), placing it above your general user roles, streamer roles, and other secondary bots.

⚠️ Why this matters: Discord's role hierarchy dictates that a bot cannot manage, delete, or replicate messages sent by users who hold a higher role in the server settings than the bot itself. Keeping Movr at the top ensures uninterrupted, high-performance service across all of your community channels.
