Forum Assistant is a fully automated forum management bot for Discord Forum Channels. It requires zero slash commands — simply add it to your server, configure it through the web dashboard at https://008870.xyz, and it works silently in the background.

⚙️ How to Set Up

Step 1 — Invite the bot Add Forum Assistant to your server using the invite link. Make sure to grant it the following permissions in your Forum Channel(s): View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, Manage Messages, Add Reactions, Manage Threads.

Step 2 — Open the Dashboard Visit 008870.xyz and log in with Discord. Select your server to open the configuration panel.

Step 3 — Configure Forum Channels Under Forum Channels, select the forum channel(s) you want the bot to manage. For each channel, set the three tag names that must already exist in your Discord forum:

• Waiting for Reply — applied when a new post has no replies yet
• Discussing — applied when a non-author replies to the post
• Solved — applied when the post is marked as resolved

Step 4 — Set Auto-Close (optional) Enable Auto Close to automatically mark posts as Solved after a set number of days of inactivity (1–6 days). You can also enable Lock Thread After Close to prevent further replies once solved.

Step 5 — Enable Reminders (BASIC) Set up automatic reminder messages sent to post authors and responders when a thread has been inactive. Configure the send time, interval, and custom message text.

Step 6 — Save Configuration Click Save Configuration and the bot immediately begins monitoring your forum channel(s).

🤖 How It Works (Automatic)

Once configured, Forum Assistant handles everything without any commands:

• New post created → automatically tagged Waiting for Reply
• Someone replies → tag updated to Discussing
• Post author clicks "Mark as Solved" → tag updated to Solved, thread optionally locked
• No activity for X days → automatically marked Solved (auto-close)
• Original post deleted → thread automatically closed and tagged Solved
• Periodic scan every 5 minutes → syncs all tags with actual thread status, catches anything missed while the bot was offline
