Step 1 — Invite the bot Add Forum Assistant to your server using the invite link. Make sure to grant it the following permissions in your Forum Channel(s): View Channel, Send Messages in Threads, Embed Links, Read Message History, Manage Threads, Manage Channels, Manage Permissions.
Step 2 — Open the Dashboard Visit 008870.xyz and log in with Discord. Select your server to open the configuration panel.
Step 3 — Configure Forum Channels Under Forum Channels, select the forum channel(s) you want the bot to manage. For each channel, set the three tag names that must already exist in your Discord forum:
Step 4 — Set Auto-Close (optional) Enable Auto Close to automatically mark posts as Solved after a set number of days of inactivity (1–6 days). You can also enable Lock Thread After Close to prevent further replies once solved.
Step 5 — Set Up the AI FAQ Assistant (optional) Upload your FAQ documents (PDF, Word, or TXT) or a link, and enable AI Assistant replies. New posts will automatically get an AI-generated answer based on your own content, clearly labeled as AI-generated.
Step 6 — Enable Reminders & Verified Helpers Set up automatic reminder messages for inactive threads, and configure Verified Helper roles — this also powers the contribution leaderboard and anti-spam moderation permissions.
Step 7 — Save Configuration Click Save Configuration and the bot immediately begins monitoring your forum channel(s).
