How Spam Trap Works

Invite Spam Trap to your server and create a dedicated spam trap channel using a single command.

The bot places a multilingual warning inside the channel, encouraging legitimate members not to post there. Spam bots that automatically post in every visible channel trigger the trap immediately.

Once detected, Spam Trap automatically:

• Deletes the spam messages

• Removes the account using Softban, Ban, or your preferred moderation action

• Sends the user a direct message explaining that their account may be compromised

• Provides clear recovery steps including changing their password, enabling Two Factor Authentication, and reviewing authorized applications

• Logs every action to your moderation channel with detailed information and live statistics

By default, Spam Trap uses Softban, which removes the spam messages while allowing the account owner to rejoin after securing their Discord account.
