Backstory

IRIS is a chatbot/personal assistant I started working on almost two years ago (2016). I abandoned the project about nine months later. I ran into some serious issues, and I was a full-time student at the time and didn't have the time to continue work. Just recently (December of 2018), I decided to pick up work on it again. My original goal was to get it integrated with Twitter; however, discord bots were easier to manage, so I started there for now.

How IRIS Works

As of now, IRIS only has one command: !!chat. With this, you can communicate with IRIS, and she will generate a response (to the best of her ability). She learns as you interact with her. She uses machine learning algorithms to categorize what you say to her. She uses this categorization algorithm multiple times to find out what your original intent was. She can figure out what emotion you sent your message with (still W.I.P.) and responds accordingly.
