Probably my favorite writing bot - I love how it allows you to keep track of your projects and goals! It used to be quite buggy, but the most recent updates have made it less laggy. I highly recommend it! ^^

A discord bot for writers, aimed to help you manage your projects, write with your friends and achieve your writing goals!
Writer-Bot is a discord bot for writing-based servers.
It has many features, such as writing sprints, word count goals, xp/levels, prompts and random generators.
Writing-related commands
/challenge: Generates a random writing challenge for you. e.g. "Write 400 words in 15 minutes". You can add the flags "easy", "normal", "hard", "hardcore", or "insane" to choose a pre-set wpm, or add your chosen wpm as the flag, or you can specify a time instead by adding a the time in minutes, prefixed with a "t", e.g. "t15"
/generate: Random generator for various things (character names, place names, land names, book titles, story ideas). Define the type of item you wanted generated and then optionally, the amount of items to generate.
/goal: Sets a daily goal which resets every 24 hours
/project: Using these commands, you can create different projects and store word counts against them seperately. They also integrate with the wrote and sprint commands. See the help information for those commands for more info.
/sprint: Write with your friends and see who can write the most in the time limit!
/wrote: Add to your total words written statistic
Fun commands
/8ball: Ask the magic 8-ball a question. Your question will be routed to a text-processing AI and broken down into character sets, in order to properly analyze the content of the question and provide a meaningful answer. (This is a joke. There is no AI involved.)
/flip: Flips a coin
/reassure: Gives you reassurance/motivation
/roll: Rolls a dice between 1-6, or 1 and a specified number
Utility Commands
/profile: Displays your user statistics
/info: Shows bot information and status
/reset: Allows you to reset your stats
/setting: Allows you to set user and server configuration values, such as your timezone.
/help: Display help information about the bot and its commands
/invite: Generates an invite link to invite the bot to another server
/ping: Ping the bot to check the latency

Used to love this bot but it really fell off. Got ride of a lot of fun and useful options. Why? Not sure, that's beyond me.

Is this bot even still supported? Not a single command has worked for months. It just says "the application did not respond." Completely unusable. Frustrating considering I had all of my projects logged on this bot.

Horrible. If a command works, it takes about ten minutes of resubmitting the same one. Sometimes with sprints, I can't put in my final word count in time because it gives you a limited time and just incessantly says "the application did not respond." How this bot could be so broken is beyond me.

Some slash commands work, and some don't. Tried to start a sprint; "application did not respond" and when it DID work, I set the time and it didn't notify e when it was that time. What am I supposed to do? Time it myself and cancel once it's time? I would not recommend this bot because it's so complicated and generally not good.

Why can we add to our total word count, but not remove? :/ if we mistype it literally fucks everything up. please add a remove feature. i swear there used to be one before the update.

This bot has so much potential, but it seems like the commands are just not working more than half the time? Are the developers still around, because I feel like with some fixes, it could be a lot better. For example, having sprints be based on page count OR word count if someone is working on editing rather that just hammering out a draft. (Also just updating the command list here and making sure ...

Mostly got it for the ability to have it ask me questions about my characters and world but that function seems to be missing in the shift to / commands, and some commands are not working at all. Very frustrating.

slash commands are just a mess. Sometimes they work, most of the time they don't, even though there isn't any difference at all at how I type them.

The new slash commands are a mess to use, they make it complicated to type what you need quickly, and they're mixed up with other bots commands. Very disappointing.
